Its a good hotel at a good location. The hotel is fairly maintained, some people were taking due advantage of staff, therefore they will find that the staff is rude, else the food is good, rooms are ok, location is perfect, nothing more you can expect. Stay their for day and feel the experience.

Folks please avoid room no 212 and 112 as the windows in those rooms open on the bland and insipid hotel passages and NO view of the hills or the resort exteriors and yet they are overpriced. You will realize only after you have paid! The singers were awesome and were the only saving grace on the overpriced deck! Breakfast choices were very limited. Also, there were stale pastries and doughnuts on display, please don't have them! Last but not the least, Overpriced Cable car!!!

Horrible experience at timber trail resorts parwanoo over a packet of biscuits. While entering the resort yesterday the gate security found food items in our bag which are strictly banned
by them. On close scrutiny it was found to be a 5 rupee tiger biscuit pack for my 2.5 year old nephew. The staff was requested very calmy to allow this as the baby was sick and does not eat anything else. Instead the staff was rude and told us that the 5 rupee tiger biscuit will hurt their business and is not allowed as per their policies. A group of 10 hotel staff came to over power and fight with us. Started shouting and almost got physical with us. We left from gate itself.
Been a few times here as I live nearby and usually stop here for a toilet break. Everything is overpriced, toilets are not clean, parking is not available, long queues and waiting time for trolley. Staff is not at all co-operative. Trolleys close after 5 and is dangerous.

We , family of 4, ( husband, wife, 2 kids - 16 years and 8 years) took a break at Timber trail while driving from Shimla to Delhi. As the kids were busy munching the snacks ,we went upstairs to have a look at the Deck.. After the snacks , we had asked the kids to come to deck thru lift.. after 5 minutes , we realized the kids have not reached .. and we looked around for them but could not find them.. Tried to see the lift side and saw the lift was showing some error.. Called my son on mobile and then got to know that the lift was stucked between 1st and 2nd floor.. we raised alarm and sounded the hotel manager/ Maintenance staff that our kids are inside the lift and its not operating.. they smiled and asked us to relax and started looking for the maintenance team.. they were behaving as it happens everyday.. after we created a panick as the lift was giving jerks ... they finally got the maintenance team to restart the lift system... We understand that the list is mechanical thing and can fail at time.. but the most disappoiting factor was their behavior. The last accident at timber trail lift which killed one person is more due to their unprofessional/ lack of interest towards the safety and security.. this resort is complete NO to any of the people looking forward to take break in between.

We stayed for just 7-8 hours at night, but was enough to have such strong views.
1. We arrived at around 1 AM at night after a long drive and found the gate closed (We had a booking and had informed we will reach by this time). Finally after much honking we had to jump the gate and go to the reception.
2. The rooms are very much like a hostel. Very basic. The bathroom is very sad indeed. it is not that the rooms are big.
3. The brekfast layout had just 3 items - Omlette, Aloo subzi and Idli. Go choose! How can a hotel of this size have a breakfast layout as simple as this.
Overall, it did not bother us coz we needed a night shelter, but for 5K for each room, way over priced. Should not deserve more than 2-3K.
