I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at Claridges Surajkund, as I mostly was. Start with the upsides - it has a beautiful surrounding, it talks about being on acres of land which may be true, but you wouldn't know that from staying there - but the open feel of the courtyard makes the hotel feel very large and welcoming. The restaurants are great and have very nice ambience - make sure to check out the Dhaba restaurant (we didn't get a chance to eat there), but very creative! I also appreciated the kids play room, as this is the first hotel I've been to with an indoor play area of this kind.
The only few downsides are the distance from the city. If you don't know Delhi, this isn't really Delhi, this is in a different city and actually a different stay, so its not short jaunt from the city area. It is a reasonable distance from Saket area, but if you have work/pleasure in Connaught Place, Dwarka, Noida - any of these areas - its not your best choice.
Few slight hiccups - we were told of a complimentary wine tasting at 630-830 PM. When we went to the place, we were told that it was closed this week. Hmm? When I just checked to make sure info was accurate with the front desk, they told me that it was open, then they called the restaurant and had a little chat, agreeing it was closed.
The most important piece of advice I have - if you are staying in a room that opens up to the courtyard - especially if you have children - make sure to ask if there are any evening parties in the courtyard area. There was one the first night we were here and a band playing - and you feel that you are basically at the event - it is that loud as the courtyard acts as an amphitheater. To the hotel's credit, when we called and complained that our children couldn't fall asleep, they offered us another room (which we declined because of all the luggage we would have to shift, and our children were already in bed taking bottles), and they agreed to close the music at 10:15 PM instead of midnight, which they did.
One other thing - they don't keep the balconies extremely clean (and pigeons love them), so if you plan on spending time out there (and with the views and the balcony SFT, you should), make sure to ask them to clean that area before you decide to lounge there.
Last piece of advice - don't miss the pool! It is beautiful, but hidden off to the side of the spa area, but ranks up there with nicest infinity pools in Delhi.
Overall, great time, and would stay there again for a get-away if no need to be in the city for any business!

This hotel tries very hard bt in my mind too much.
I arrived early on morning and went to sleep. Woke for lunch and went back to bed with the Do Not Disturb sign.
They then phoned me and asked when they could do the room as there was a do not disturb sign!!!!!
Daily there is a visit always at the wrong time to see whether you are OK.
It was a bit noisy during the night
One day the staff put the bathroom blinds down the next day up.
It is confusing
The Dhaba restaurant is good but again over attentive.
The fact that they still charge for the internet is childish

The hotel was undergoing a maintenance (& their AC was not working). We had a really rough time. I had called the services 5 times and they checked our room only once. After the first night, when I enquired why the temp at the reception is fine where as my room is hot, they softly mention that only one wing is reporting complaints. Ain't it obvious to shift the guests to other rooms? Anyways only on asking did they do so. But they did shift us to a SMALLER room by saying "We've upgraded your room!". At least the AC was working and thus we did not complain.
Maybe the hotel lives upto their 5 star standards in terms of the room, food etc.; but my personal experience has been so poor that I will not recommend anyone to this place.
