Best place to stay in kodaikanal.Very beautiful location. Staff was very freindly and cooperative. You can get the view of pine forest from your room. Resort location is very peaceful. Hotel staff will make all the arrangements for sight-seeing. So just go and chill....

Just returned from the Kodai trip. Stayed at the Carnival hotel from 25th Dec to 27th Dec. Stayed at their Deluxe room forest facing. The room had amazing view of
a dense forest from the balcony. Enjoyed the sunrise.
. I must mention about the front desk staff, very polite and most courteous I have ever seen.
The food was really good however the service was bit slow. Could have been bit faster
Overall an excellent facility. Total VFM. I would love to go back there for my next trip and would recommend this for everyone

I happened to choose this resort entirely based on the reviews from TripAdvisor. I was too apprehensive about it, until i reached this place. But we were truly astonished by
their service and attitude. The people in this hotel (each and everyone) are trained to overwhelm their guests.
The usual check in time was 12:00 noon, but me & my wife happened to reach there at 7:00 am, but the hotel staff was kind enough to offer us the deluxe suite which we'd book for, even if we'd arrived way ahead of time.
The Hotel is located in such a place, where your neither too close to the city, nor too far from it. Its just 1.5 KM from the Kodai lake, but still offers a beautiful view of the pine forest. As far as i know, this is the only resort close to the city, which is located at such a scenic place.
Its such a pleasure to wake up in the morning, stand at the balcony and gaze at the clouds below you. (Check out some pics which i've clicked from the balcony)
The resort has beautiful collection of plants and flowers, which I believe were stolen from Mars. Never have i seen such beautiful flowers in my life. Even though you aren't a nature admirer, you will fall in love with their collection here.
1. If you want to enjoy the beauty of this place, choose the Deluxe Rooms. They are the only ones with a balcony. And Room 212 is the best among all, coz you would be facing the forest on one side, and a beautiful mountain on the other
2. Do not choose MAP dinner plan, coz you have plenty of options to try out near the lake.
One advice for the Hotel: Please provide a room heater in each room, coz the rooms gets extremely cold during nights, and even 2 blankets wouldn't suffice. That apart, you are doing excellent.

It was neat and clean with decent rooms, staff was very friendly. Food was awesome, they provided good north indian food. Did not try breakfast though. they also gave few plants(we liked) free of cost. it has open badminton court and basket ball ring, though we did not play due to cold and windy weather. View from the hotel is amazing.

Though, we stayed there for 12 hours only, the stay experience was very nice. It has very good surroundings and its very well maintained. A property worth staying.
The only draw back is it is very far from the Kodai Station.

Kodaikanal- Called the princess of Nilgiris and it truly deserves this
Hotel Carnival- I will call it as hotel only , because it is clearly no resort in facilities
- Value for money , affordable rooms with dine options
- View from rooms are the one which really makes this hotel to stand apart
- Food are good , but service is very slow ( need improvement esp during peak season)
- Quick service and staffs
- Quite cold at times , rooms with balcony
The hotel is located approx 4 kms from Lake , the view from each rooms are very good , long trees or left side of valley. Though it needs to improve on food service
Recommended for budget hotels with value for money.

I can say this is a decent hotel for the amount they charge. But the big problem is of hot water. Either there is no hot water after 9:00am or hot water what we got was very dirty..Should provide 24X7 hot water..
