We stayed at the Sylvania Inn out of necessity one night. It looks like it was once a beautiful hotel that has fallen into a bit of disrepair. The good- The room was nice, large, and looked clean. The sheets were clean, the bed was very comfortable. The bad- The phone did not work. The fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling. There was no hot water. The bathroom was clean but looked old yet unfinished. The baseboards were unpainted, the tile had grout on it, the toilet was really old. The irritating- The fold out sofa had no sheets or blankets. I know they probably would have brought some for us if we could have called, but my cell was dead and the room phone was dead. I did not feel like walking all the way to the office in the middle of the night to get sheets, so we just used one off of the bed. The hotel was inexpensive and I would stay there again if I needed too.

Until the past 2 years this was an excellent Motel. I am observing a decline of the facility/rooms. Doring my 22 Nov. in room 101, I observed the fire alarm unit and wireing hanging out of the ceiling. Toliet tissue had to held in hand because there was no spool to attach the roll to the wall unit. T the packs of sugar and powder cream no longer exist. We have stayed several times a year over past 20 years.

Stopped in for the night and was happy with the price. The room is clean and vey roomy. Bedspread needs to go as it has burn holes in it and is so 90's. Good selection on Tv, bed was comfortable. I will skip the breakfast and go next door to Mcdonalds. I would stay here again. Call hotel direct for best price. One hotel selling website had the price double what I paid.
