Wasn't sure what to expect since we had just arrived from the Rambagh Palace hotel in Jaipur. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.

rose petal shower & red dots, an unexpected treat for a desert camp site. Stayed in a luxury cottage, which has permanant walls and A/C with a tented roof. Accommodations were very charming & exactly as described on the website.
Since dining options aren't that enticing in town, we opted for dinner at the Bagh. So glad that we did so, we had one of our best meals in Rajasthan. Waiter brought menus to our cottage & then came back 5-10 minutes later to take our order. A table was set up in the middle of the lawn & we had a dinner under the stars. The waiter acted as our butler and stood near our table the entire time to make sure that all of our needs were being met. When we mentioned that the central light was hindering our stargazing, he immediately changed the lighting. Food was very good quality & we stuffed ourselves for under $20. I must note that we were 1 of only 2 cottages/tents that night since the Camel Fair had not officially begun. If the hotel were completely full, there would have been more tables on hte lawn, but I'm sure it still would have been delightful.
We woke up very early the next morning to get an early start to Jaisalmer & did not have much hot water for our showers. However, a hotel staffer knocked on our door as were getting ready to ask if we had hot water & stated that they had specifically turned on the hot water early to accommodate us. So, I'm sure that we would have had hot water if had waited a bit. Since we were leaving so early I was not expecting breakfast, but they made a full breakfast including omelets.
Overall, a very nice experience.

get a bucket of hot water whenever we asked, with no problems. Yes, the evenings were chilly, but what do you expect in a tent in the desert? Plenty of blankets were available. The food was plentiful & hot, buffet style. I was pleased with the small quantities they kept on the buffet table, refilling often as needed. The staff were very helpful, accommodating each request. The camel ride to the fair grounds took 10 - 15 minutes & was extremely interesting. When we wanted to return to the hotel there was always a camel cart at the designated spot so we never had to wait. We paid $200/night, including 3 meals/day for two people; this was quite expensive, but on a par with other tented facilities; considering we were there at the height of the camel fair it was an ok value.

to rajasthan and we booked all the hotels at our own through hotels website. we stayed in pushkar bagh from 8th Dec to 10th Dec 07. First of all The Pushkar Bagh Website is very nice and have been mentioned each and every thing what they have. As soon as we arrived at resort and walked up to the reception area “WoW” what Great welcome, four ladies wearing very beautiful dress were throwing rose petals On and A lady put red dot on the forehead and well dressed waiter serve welcome drink. The Large Reception tent is giving a traditional look of rajasthan. While we were at the reception for checking in formality our bags reached our cottage tent. After finishing the formality at reception one of the reception’s person escort us to reach at our cottage tent. As soon as we enter into our cottage tent “WOW” what a beautiful tent. We found nice very soft king size antique bed with bedside and nice old looking lamps. We found very nice and comfortable two chairs with an old antique table, writing table and chair, suite hanger, Rajasthani durry carpets, Air conditioned with heating system gives all luxurious looks.
Bathroom is very nice clean well managed running hot and cold water in shower, having herbals bathroom products. There is a changing room Adjoining with bathroom with dressing table, mirror and almira to store the valuables and cloths.
We set out of our cottage tent and show an amazing look of the mountain and desert. What a great view of that, it looks like the resort is just in lap of that mountain. The courtyard is very peaceful having roses planets and many more.
WOW that food at the Pushkar Bagh was just Marvelous. we love eat Indian Food and the Indian food at Pushkar Bagh is the best we found. Restaurant was well decorated with a test of rajasthan, waiters were in rajasthani dress gives cultural looks. The setup of the buffet and the way the serve is a different experience which we only found in this restaurant. we loved all their food but specially DESERT GOOSE BERRY is mouth watering.
Our experience at Pushkar Bagh was unforgettable and we strongly recommend this place to each and every one who comes to pushkar and who loves to stay in Nature.
