Stayed on a Friday night when we went to see Top Hat at the nearby Adelphi theatre. We were surprised at how quiet the room was considering it is right on Aldwych. We had to take breakfast very early but this was full service in the restaurant and was excellent. They seen to have thought of everything for the traveller including the bags to put your liquids in at airport security. The whole experience was superb.

We stayed for a weekend in this lovely hotel and upon arrival were upgraded free of charge to an executive room which was a lovely gesture! It's quite a small boutique esque hotel, but nonetheless is very good. The staff are a huge asset to the hotel, we felt like nothing was too much to ask - whereas in other supposed 5* hotels it's easy to feel as if you are a nuisance.
Excellent location set in the heart of Covent Garden, surrounded by lovely restaurants, cafes and bakeries as well as a plethora of shops. Wonderful atmosphere in this area and very close to the tube station. Overall, we had a great weekend. The rooms are adequate, the lobby doesn't have a buzzing atmosphere to it as such but nonetheless is lovely in appearance. All in all, a lovely modern hotel tucked away in a great spot in London.

As an ex-pat Brit I've been using 1 Aldwych as my go-to London base for a couple of years now. The location is great, the service is friendly, and I like the general design of the hotel. Rooms are pretty quiet despite central location. The gym is particularly spacious and they have an awesome pool. I had a facial there for the first time last trip and it was really good, and decent value too (thanks Tatiana). some people find the eco-friendly water system, a bit odd (very noisy vacuum based drainage for showers, sinks etc which apparently saves on water consumption) but I don't really notice it. It can get a bit pricey for the smaller rooms but cross your fingers and hope for an upgrade. Fresh fruit in room every day & water by bed is a nice touch.
Cleartrip’s hotel ratings take into account numerous factors such as independent rating systems like FHRAI, media recognition and post-trip feedback from our customers. We make all attempts to keep this information up to date, but cannot guarantee service levels at the hotel to be consistent.
