Rs.590+tax .
I was looking for a budget hotel.The previous day i was cheated by the guides/touts who took me to a cottage,which was very far away with dirty rooms.I saw the hotel tariff which was publised outside the hotel and booked a room at JC Woodville Manor.
The manager Mr.Jeevamani was kind and helpful,the room boys were helpful in buying food and coffee,as they dont have a restaurant.
This hotel is ideal for a middle class person like me.

Very good accommodation and service. Very attractive place to stay. Nice management.Very easy to approach.Good relation ship with the customers.Satisfied with the staff behaviour.Some more advanced facilities to be included.

paid for a peak season. But I was not happy about the hotel that the room was bit smelly, bed was hard and stains in it, table not clean, toilet tiles broken in one corner, intercom unserviceable, TV with bad picture tube. Room service was very bad. I just asked for drinking water which i did not get. The only benefit was I used their cloak room even after my check out. Location is good since it is just opposite to Kodai bus stand. I was surprised to hear that this average hotel is a branch of JC Residency, a famous 3 star hotel in Madurai. This hotel is ok for friends but not ok for couples.

by Cleartrip.Kodaicanal is one of the finest Hill station to beat summer of Mumbai.It's located Just opposite to Bus depot of Kodaicanal.Major sightseeing places like Kodai lake,Coaker's walk,Chettiar park are at a walking distance from the Hotel.One of the best vegetarian Hotel "ASTORIA VEG" is only 25 meters away from the hotel and most of the Veg hotels are nearby.One day sightseeing can be arranged from for Rs.250 per head in Mini Bus at SKM Travels,shop no.12 in the shopping complex of Kodai Bus depot.You can buy Chocolates,Spices and other items cheaper at Shop no.1 in the same shopping center compare to other Market shops.Hotel has no Hindi speaking staff except 1 Mukesh who has worked in a Hotel in Thane,He was very cooperative and Helpful.Most of the staffers only speak Tamil and their English was very poor.I stayed next three days in Hotel JC Woodville Grand which has slightly Bigger rooms for which i paid Rs. 750 after hard bargain,Barring public address announcements during day time at the Bus Depot,it's "PAISA VASOOL" Trip for Budget Travellers.

confirmation voucher. But while checking into the room on 3d may at 9.30 p.m. the hotel staff asked us to check out by morning 9.00 am on 4th may, 2013.
After entering the room, we found that the rooms were not cleaned and asked the staff to clean the room. we had to wait outside while the cleaning was in progress.
Then after sometime we found that the bathroom was also not cleaned and old soaps were lying in the bathroom.
The bathroom had a ventilation into the hotel room itself.
Hot water was not running in the taps.
The linens were not cleaned properly and the room was not properly illuminated. Some lamps were hanging over our heads in half broken condition with no bulbs inside. Phones were not working so every time you need something, you need to walk down to call the service staff in the ground floor.
The room had a window which we needed to open for ventilation. The window opened to a noisy road and emanated a foul odour of the street side food which was being cooked outside till midnight.
I could not sleep till 2.00 am and vacated the room the next day at 9.00 am.
I would never again visit this hotel again in my life.
