I stayed only one night prior to my three-say safari in Dhikala, Corbett Park. It is a beautiful and peaceful place a few kms out from Ramnagar on the

Kosi river. Infinity Resort was excellent and the general manager took care to introduce himself to all the guests. As an eco-resort, the rooms are not ostentatious with every possible amenity, but are very comfortable. By keeping the blinds drawn during the heat of the day, the room stayed cool and did not need to run A/C despite April heat. No television or internet, but that suited me just fine. The staff was very friendly and the food in the restuarant was good. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style, and dinner was from the menu. Prior to dinner, the resort shows some wildlife-related videos in the dining area and it is a great way to mingle with the other guests. While eating dinner a jungle cat ran across the patio. After dinner, I returned to the room and was stunned by the silence and the stars. I would have to say that a family with young chldren might find it boring here, but for adults who just want to relax before or after Corbett Park, it is just the place.

Based on the banks of River Kosi, the Infinity Resort reminds me of a few African-style lodges I've been to in Kenya. Clean and well-equipped, the rooms are very spacious

and furnished to a high standard with a rustic feel to them. Our room had its own private balcony looking out to the swimming pool and beautiful gardens in the resort. Whether this was due to the eco-friendliness of the resort, a hot shower lasted only 5 mins which was a slight bummer as we were there during the winter season.
We had all our meals sitting in the open area adjoining the main dining hall. This looked directly over the beaufitul river and surrounding jungle and we spotted deer, elephants, peacocks, fish and other beautiful birds whilst enjoying very tasty and freshly cooked meals. Breakfast was especially good - omelettes (which were done exactly to our liking) whilst enjoying the crisp, cool air and the bird song as the sun slowly awakened the jungle around us!
A pre-dinner documentary about wildlife was shown on both evenings we were there - with freshly made pop-corn to go round - which was a nice touch.
There were a few activities (table-tennis, pool, games room), elephant rides and jeep safaries through the jungle that the resort offers. We opted to do the jeep safari which we were slightly disappointed about as we didnt see the magnificient beasts that we were so eager about: tigers! We felt that we were driven around the same small area for almost 2 hours to be shown only a handful of deer, a few elephants on our way back to the resort and some birds.
I would definitely recommend Infinity Resorts to anyone visiting the area - you cannot go wrong with anything - and tiger-spotting is something that I leave to luck!
