I had to attend a Conference with a workshop in Marriot Convention Centre and believe me it was truely a wonderful experience.
The stay was comfortable at the same time it was the venue of the conference cum surgery workshop so it was really a convenient venue business cum pleasure. Time management for the conference was kept very perfectly & food & Tea Coffee with snacks were just perfect.

This is old Hotel Viceroy purchased by Marriott & renamed. So if you are one of those travelers, who would like to stay write in down-town & would like to
have a view of Husain Sagar (if you get a lake view room) or if you are hardcore Marriott loyalist, then this is the place for you. We had rooms facing kabristan, which could be viewed directly when curtains were pulled up,so we never looked out. The breakfast buffet cannot be overlooked even if you are only there for 1 night. I've never experienced a breakfast buffet like this at any hotel. The selection is incredibly large; there are so many hot as well as cold options. The spread is a good combination of traditional Indian and western. In addition, all of the "cook to order" stations (dosas, omelets, crepes) are part of the price, they do not cost extra. Room service was good as well and reasonably priced.
I will definitely stay here again with rooms with pool view, when back in Hyderabad.

I stayed during an corporate event.
Food is very good. Comfortable stay, neat and clean rooms. Gym is well equipped.
Staff is very responsive. Opposite to Hussain Sagar, smooth check in process even for a bigger group, they made a dedicated desk for the same.
I would recommend for staying with family also.

I stayed here for one night on business trip. My first impression about this hotel was not great. In fact hotel looked very old and not real standard of Marriott.
Lobby is unimpressive, small and does not have adequate height. Being a Club Marriott member I expected small favors such as early checkin. However i was informed that they are fully sold out and they can provide early checkin only after payment for half day (by mr. Purushottam fro front office) which is contradictory.
Restaurants are good and i have tried Bidri and Okra. In bidri we were not informed about water bottle kept on table was chargable. We received a bill of rs. 457 for one water bottle which is very very exorbitant. Staff in both restaurants were efficient. Food quality was good, breakfast spread was also good. Room was descent but i did not find it good compared to other marriotts.

It is an average five starred hotel with all the amenities which this class of property should have.
Entrance and lobby is just basic which is always a heart of any hotel
Menu selection in buffet is ok but I must appreciate chef Santosh for his personalised hospitality.
