We were in this hotel in connection with a marriage and we stayed in the marriage venue for most of the time and hardly spent 3-4 hrs. in this hotel, but those 3-4 hrs gave us the worst of everything. The room had no drinking water. the room telephone had one number "206" pasted on it. Calls to this number were not answered and there was no other number mentioned. When I went to reception for water, they said please call the room service at "222". Even 222 did not respond. Again when i complained to reception by going down the steps, the guy told me that call "230". Even this number did not connect. It was only in the next morning that a fellow guest told me that room service number is 9. This is highly rude and gross misbehaviour. The rooms were in a state of disrepair and wooden furnishings were coming apart. Half of the rooms were closed for renovations. There was no working mobile charging point inside the room. The refrigerator was out of order. It was a house of bad experiences. I have not experienced such behaviour and bad service even in dharmshalas.
We needed to purchase some electronic items. When I asked the reception guy, he told me that good shops are at "Holi Gate" area. However, when I went to went to Holi Gate, I was informed that the actual market for electronic goods is at Krishna Nagar. So again, it was misleading behaviour of reception guy that made me waste my time. The only good thing was a impressive reception probably made up to fool the guests. The security is also good.

When we 1st entered Hotel Sheetal Regency, we were impressed with the decor and ambiance of the reception area as well as the gardens and the exterior, however a shock awaited us. This place looked like the aftermaths of World War 2. Old, dusty, stinking and musty. The beds looked sunken, linen was dirty and blankets probably not washed in a year. Curtains were SUCH an eyesore. Toilet had urine on the pan, the shower sprayed to the other end of the bathroom. Floors were dusty, and room was infested with mosquitoes. As for the View from the window....there was NONE except a horror mountain of dirt, wild pigs, and other humans defecating in the open area. The windows also would not open and there were at least 5 power outages in one night, The overall inside of the hotel was extremely disappointing, old, worn out and in dire need of a paint job. To make matter worse, a private function was held downstairs and the huge noise kept us awake most of the night. At around 1 AM, we were again awoken by the guests from the party, making a huge din, and children running around, pressing our door bells. A drunken man was also lying at the bottom of the staircase, having vomited all over the place, and no one bothered to remove him... The bathrooms and toilets were stinking due to age and lack of proper ventilation. The restaurant staff were very pleasant, but the food was not good, the breakfast was totally nightmarish with the muck being served which was unrecognizable, and not edible, We would NOT recommend this place to anyone...ever

Dirtiest toilet we have ever seen. They said it would be cleaned in no time.Horrible! The A/C was not working. We complained. The person said it will be rectified in no time.Even after repeated complaint the A/C was not rectified. Finally we went out. After returning we were shocked that the AC was not rectified. We asked to change our room. They again said the AC will be rectified.FInally the mechanic came at 11:30 PM. What a service. The worst came when we were about to check out. Our car was full of scratches. When we asked the person sitting at the counter, the idot named YOGESH THAKUR, said in a horible tone that you have paid for room only.We are not here to look after your car! This is certainly a substandard hotel. I hotel which is not worthy of even Rs 1000. These idiots are charging Rs 2500 with such horrible service.
