Perfect hotel for a city- or businesstrip. Staff, comfort, rooms, breakfast, restaurant, overall service, there is nothing I can think of that wasn't very good or excellent. In one word, perfect. dDefinitely a place to recommend and hope to come back here as Kristiansand is a beautiful city.

Hotel Norge is a good and safe choice when staying in Kristiansand. Overall standard is high, with nice rooms and comfortable beds.I had a superior room which contained all what I needed, although I don`t care so much for soap and shampoo from dispensers, as was the case in my bathroom . Breakfast is very good, with a wide selection of fresh baked bread. The restaurant serves very tasty food for dinner as well. Location close to "Markens" pedestrian street, with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Very nice and welcoming staff.

First time in Norway and I loved the minimalistic approach to rooms. There is everything you need and nothing you don't. I was surprised by a single bed but found it very comfortable. The minibar compensates absence of the bar in the hotel - prices are a lot higher than in the US but that's a reality of alcohol sales in Norway. Finally, the breakfast - very nice and tasty. But the main attraction - FRESH BREAD! Good place to stay on business trips, for sure.

I've stayed in this hotel many times, 5-7 times a year for the last 12 years. It's my favourite hotel in Kristiansand. I've also tried other hotels in Kristiansand in the same price range, but this has better breakfast.
It's convenient, has good breakfast with much variety, and the rooms are practical. The rooms are quite different and though you'll never know which room you get they are all fine. Room in the back corridors are generally better, but also more expensive. Beds are always excellent.
The range of tv channels has diminished over the years - now showing the basic Scandinavian channels with little in English. BBC World was not working on my last stay. I really miss Travel Channel.

Reviews for this property range widely. I found it to be comfortable, a little noisy when the bars ejected customers at 0100 but not excessively so. The shower unit is tiny - hardly room to turn around, but the water is hot - which is arguably more important. Perhaps this is just Scandinavian minimalism? The bed was comfortable, the Internet acceptable. Breakfast excellent. Location very central. Price - rather high - NOK924 for a standard room.
