We were in Kristiansand for a wedding and stayed Friday and Saturday night. The hotel is in a very central location. I read some reviews about the noise but we
didn’t experience any of this. Granted, we had a room that did not face the street. It is a standard hotel and doesn’t have all the great bells and whistles, but it did meet all of our needs. It was clean and neat, free wifi. The daily breakfast (which is included in the hotel price) I have to admit is one of the better breakfasts I’ve had in standard European hotels. Many items to choose from (bacon, eggs, deli meats/cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread) and breakfast is served until 11am. The staff/front desk was very helpful. The airline lost our luggage and it was going to be delivered to the hotel (we were still in transit to the hotel from Oslo). I’m pretty sure they got annoyed with us and all the times we called to give them luggage arrival updates. However, as soon as it arrived they called us immediately and took the time out to look it over and answer all our questions. Very attentive!
A couple of comments and suggestions (this did not take away from our good experience at the hotel):
1) Yes the room is on the smaller side, but it’s Norway. If you need a bigger room I suggest getting the superior twin room. It is 2 twin beds converted to a king, but the room itself is bigger with a couch. Not that much bigger, but bigger.
2) If you are a light sleeper and light bothers you, I suggest you bring an eye mask as the window covers don’t keep the sun out much. It’s not horribly bright, but not the usual dark window curtains.
3) If you need to iron clothes (as we did for the wedding), there is a shared ironing room on each floor. Ask the front desk about it and they’ll direct you. Please don’t take the iron to your room. Iron your items in the designated room.

Arrived with family of 4 plus a service animal. The hotel staff was very friendly, check-in went great and they provided extra bedding for kids right away. They also waived
the animal fee (for service animal) without any comments.
The room was small, and really could barely accommodate the 2 adults and 2 small children (and small service animal..). Thankfully this was a short trip, so we had almost no luggage - otherwise that would have had to be stacked in the shower!
One strange thing is that the curtains would not cover the entire window (and in Norway, mid summer, that means that the room did not get close to dark at night. We were provided an extra bed sheet to try to cover, but really..?
Also the ventilation in the room was poor, so had to leave window open, which made it noisy (hotel faced a busy street for pub-goers at night). Overall an OK stay, but will likely not stay here next time.

Located in the center of Kristiansand. Stayed for only one night, and it was quite demanding. The hotel is very nice, but not recommended for light sleepers. There is
a noise in the ventilation system, incruciating loud and interfering with my sleep. I went to the reception to ask about it, they are aware of it, but cannot do anything about it. I slept for 2 hours that night.
But If you do not mind the noise, the hotel is very nice. The breakfast is definitely worth a visit. So you need to make up your own mind.
Ps, ajacent to the hotel there is s nice gastropub, KICK Malt & mat (see another review). The food and the beer is great!

To put into perspective how small the rooms are, I had to move the luggage bench each morning just to stretch. And for the bathroom, be prepared to use the toilet paper roll as an armrest. Poor design throughout. Breakfast was good but desk agents too reserved even by Scandinavian standards.

Stayed here for 1 night then had a long drive to stavanger next morning so sleep was important.what sleep, we didn't have any .we were in a room directly opposite
a night club and couldn't sleep as extremely impossible as music loud, shouting police lights illuminating the room.windows were not adequate to block out noise.rang reception to complain and reply was we have earplugs.terrible never again.
Hotel however was clean no parking at hotel but breakfast was good.
Best part about stay was steak in the restaurant was fabulous.
