we found an "acceptable" room, the first 3 had 'dal' stains all over the carpet, ruined bed spreads and a horrible stench that engulfed you fully upon entry, and it wasn't potpourri! The inclusive breakfast was nothing special, being that the chef was hacking out his lungs while cooking/preparing a part of the meal and there was screaming and yelling going on in the kitchen which we could hear while eating. One of the dinners was so enraged with his service that he threatened the waiter that he would beat him with his shoe. The main lobby was full of men just standing around, smoking and shouting very loudly. The person at the main lobby was very hard to communicate with and often did not acknowledge our presence when we approached the desk with a question or concern.
its not that i am not a traveller - i have been to many countries of far-reaching and down-trodden economic standings but The Hotel Maurya sticks out sorely among them.
everything is overpriced - everything ! the rooms should not be more that $50-$60 a night for what you get, instead you pay $200. the most astounding attribute about this hotel is its uncleansiness - stains and more stains. and then there is the 'bihari' bruteness as the rotten cherry on this nasty cake !

of them Free Loaders,I presume.
To compensate for the free services they HAVE to provide to Free loaders ,the Management has over priced the hotel. The Breakfast which is part of the Room tarrif was quite good with a wide variety but usually much of the stuff ic cold.
The Food and Beverage charges are TOO high.
