I had landed in the hotel on 16th May and Checked out on 22nd June. I enjoyed every minute of my stay here, Why.. here are the pointers: 1) excellent
room size 2) spacious bathroom with a bath tub 3) courteous staff 4) absolutely free wifi (good speed) 5) excellent location at ahmadabad if you are going to be working in the C.G.Road area.
I had grown accustomed to the hotel and never felt uncomfortable with the room, in fact it was probably the first time I did not venture out to a city just because the hotel was boring.
worth mention - there is a FM receiver in the bath room, just in case you would want snooze lazily in the bathtub!!
FYI - I badly love the old world feel.

I booked this hotel for one night as my regular hotel was full during recent visit.
The hotel rooms are Ok! with central air-conditioning (which is not upto mark).
Given time for the breakfast was 7 to 10AM, but at 8.30 The guys were struggling to arrange the breakfast table.
The menu in the room was displaying part of Award winning menu, which was strange and hard to digest.
Only plus was its location which is near to Municipal market.

The pictures shown here are fake. I was in Ahmadabad on some official work. This hotel was booked by one of our agents. Me, along with 2 other colleagues reached
the hotel at 10:30PM. First of all, we went past it couple of times without realizing that it's a hotel. From outside it looks more like a 30 year old 3 storied apartment building which hasn't had any maintenance work since it was built. But unfortunately that's the best part of the hotel. At reception we found a complete idiot wearing some really dirty clothes. The lift was out, so they took us through some really dirty corridors to the back of the hotel to use the service lift. The room was dirty, stinky and didnt have any amenities. I stayed in the room for 30 secs, asked all my colleagues to come out and we left. I wish I had stayed for a bit longer and taken pictures so that I could have shown here what this place actually looks like. Not sure how it has been certified by tripadvisor.
Fyi - this place was so bad that we fired the agent who booked it for us.

In summary - its tough to believe that tripadvisor has certified this hotel to display their logo.
1. The photographs on the various websites are clearly morphed and do not represent the true condition nor size of the rooms.
2. The bathroom is full of pests.
3. A rattling AC that just cannot be fixed. Its a very noisy room - and there are times one doesn't know whether the AC is working or not - its centrally managed so one can either switch it off or on...
4. The waiters are weird - they would rather want you to have what they want you to rather than what you want and they just wait near your table listening to your conversation - often responding as well.
And there are several others - One learning that both Tripadvisor and Cleartrip has given in recent times - never trust their recommendation nor ratings and pre-book over the internet...this is the second instance of feeling cheated.
Cleartrip’s hotel ratings take into account numerous factors such as independent rating systems like FHRAI, media recognition and post-trip feedback from our customers. We make all attempts to keep this information up to date, but cannot guarantee service levels at the hotel to be consistent.
