This hotel was truly excellent. It hadn't been the first choice when looking for somewhere to stay in Cascais. I had been put off by the rather soulless
appearance, the main road evident in the photos, and by their website, which showed the elegant brigade drinking round the pool (suggesting that it might be some sort of club 18-30 location). But none of those concerns materialised. The hotel was friendly without being over-chummy. The staff were very good. The road was unnoticeable and almost a plus in the excellent location of the hotel both to the sea and to Cascais itself (which is a short, road-free, walk away along the coastal promenade and past innumerable and good beach cafes and bars). And the hotel wasn't geared at some set of beautiful people but was for us.
I'm sure the room we booked would have been good but we received an upgrade to a suite that was simply wonderful. The big problem was that it was so good we saw little reason to move! We saw less of Portugal than we might have done (though we took a bus to Sintra via Cabo da Roca and a train to Lisbon, both recommended trips). The town of Cascais was extremely pleasant, not only at the seafront but slightly back around the park and the free museums.
I agree with the comments in an earlier review about how good the breakfast is. On a couple of occasions we also had the buffet lunch and that was top rate too, in the range of food available and its quality but also in the sheer pleasantness of sitting outside and in the relaxed but good and generous service.
We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Stayed here with the girlfriend for a week in September. Hotel was lovely, and staff were great.
The breakfast was second to none. The pool was lovely and throughout the day staff would bring iced towel or little treats to everyone.
We really enjoyed out stay here and I would definitely return to the hotel some day.

We had stayed in Hotel Cascais Miragem for 4 days as part of business conference. Excellent rooms with a balcony for relaxing and watching blue sea. The staff were supportive and cooperative and the restaurants served authentic food with good range of wines.

I had a long weekend to relax before starting a week long business meeting in Lisbon. I was extremely pleased with this property, just about 40 minutes by taxi from the Lisbon airport. Just a short walk from the old fishing village of Cascais, which had many winding cobblestone streets, plentiful restaurants with outdoor tables and a number of very nice shops. Also easy to spend time on the beach or find a nearby golf course. The hotel was exceptional. Very nice room with a good (though not direct) view of the water. Great breakfast (included) and an outstanding health facility and spa. The fitness center had a staff willing to help you with any aspect of your workout. The hotel also includes a few public areas to relax with associates or take in a nice view of the ocean. The Cascais train station is a 5 minute walk (between the hotel and the town) and provides easy access into Lisbon. Overall, an excellent experience. I definitely will look to repeat!

Great hotel with beautiful views of coastline. Stay there for 5 nights. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Nice and close to the town of Cascais for shopping and restaurants Only one think negative then need a small gift shop for snacks and personal items if you need them.Close to the train station if you need to get to downtown Lisbon.
