Have just returned from an excellent 5 days at this hotel which we used as our base for some sightseeing in Lisbon and this area.The position overlooking the lovely coastline and being within walking distance of Cascasis with its beaches and restaurants was first class.Everything about this hotel was excellent and when we return would definitely stay there again...the rooms and sea views from the balconies were brilliant.

After a grim dull cold winter elsewhere in Europe it was a real treat to attend a congress in Estoril and to stay in the Miragem hotel in Cascais. The hotel seemed quite empty when I was there and so I got very attentive service from all staff and I had a lovely time. The hotel overlooks Cascais beach and having a coffee outside by the pool in the sun was a real treat. Getting to the beach itself (or indeed anywhere) is a slight faff with underpasses below the main road but this was only a minor drawback. The room and the service made this is a very enjoyable stay and I hope to return one day soon - Muito Obrigado.

We stayed for 7 nights at the Miragem, and were blown away with how amazing this hotel looks from the outside and in. Beautifully designed with very nice taste in decor and pictures.
We were thrilled with the upgrade to an executive suite that we got, we were due a deluxe sea view so thank you for that. The room had the best view we have ever had.
I also can not sing the praises enough of the gourmet restaurant waiters & waitress the last evening in the restaurant really cemented an excellent trip. The buffet, bar staff and piano players are all so friendly and accommodating. I have no doubt we will stay again.
However our two bug bears which stopped me giving this an excellent rating were the unfriendly attitude of some of the front of desk staff, I don't expect crass smiles and falseness but blatant rude behaviour is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. The second issue was room service cleaning the room removing all cups, and not replacing them or replenishing coffee capsules, this happened twice the first time took 3 calls to the front desk to get room service to deliver - small inconsistencies but annoying non the less.
As stated before this would not stop us returning, but if all the staff were as excellent as the restaurant, buffet, bar staff this would be a fabulous hotel
I give this hotel 5 for service but that's to credit the above staff.
