This was our first visit to this hotel but certainly wont be the last. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day.Bedding changed and beds made every day. The room boys were marvellous and always left something different in your room every day including the day they left a dummy sleeping in our room! The meals and entertainment were first class as were the staff. Only down side was having to pay for wi-fi. Still this is only a smallprice to pay for a great holiday. We enjoyed it so much that we've booked again for next year.

Stayed here from 12 th feb until 27 feb 2015.
Found it pretty much perfect, as we've been to Calangute before, previously staying at the Osbourne.
Staff very friendly, service was excellent.
Room was cleaned daily by Robert who did a great job.
Met some great people.
Plenty of great restaurants nearby and some a couple of hundred rupee away in taxi/tuk-tuk.
Pool was never crowded, no reservation of sunbeds needed and although it doesn't get the sun all day, was not a problem.
Mini bar cheap as chips, bar prices same as everywhere else, never felt like we were getting ripped off.
Only ate at the hotel at breakfast and occaisionally lunch but it was great, a few people we spoke to were very happy with the restaurant in the evening.
Regular entertainment took place but there was no noise after 10.30 generally.
They charge 2000 rupee to keep your room on day of departure which I think is fine.
Overall, a great holiday in a great hotel.

We stayed here for 3 weeks from Jan 17th to Feb 8th, booked in with no problems, next morning found staff very friendly and helpful, didn't find anything wrong with the breakfast always something for everyone and its included in the price, we went to several of the entertainment nights the African night was outstanding and good value, Charlie and Joe are so helpful in fact they are exceptional never to busy for anyone, always go the extra mile with everything. We found the Hotel very clean and well situated, we eat at the Hotel a few times and the food was brilliant, sunbathing by the pool wasn't a problem just move your sunbed into the sun, would definately stay here next year great value for money and lovely people, can't wait to come back.

First time to Goa(first 2 weeks in March), what a great holiday, we booked the Horizon after reading reviews. The location was great for walking to the beach, shops and
eateries. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, it would be unfair to single individuals out as they were all good in their own way.The rooms do vary in size, some have combined bedroom kitchen area, some have separate kitchens, which means you don't hear the fridge at night and also makes them very spacious. We moved rooms as the first room was close to the lift and we could hear it on transfer nights, other nights, it is not used after 11.00pm. The room we moved to was like an apartment with bedroom/lounge/kitchen/bathroom and 2 toilets. Daily linen change and cleaning where very good. The hotel is a bit dated and possibly could do with a refurb but it is nice and clean and a great place to stay. Prices in the hotel are similar to outside, we only dined once at night on an African themed/entertainment evening and we enjoyed it. Everything in Goa is cheap, food/alcohol/clothing/taxis/dentistry and opticians so dont't buy duty free to take out. It is a third world area so expect dust/street vendors/kids wanting a handout and cows walking down the street when you're sat there having drink at night, watching the mayhem on the main road, it is very entertaining, I dont think there is a highway code.
We had a really good holiday and met some really great people in the hotel. If we go back to Goa, which we would like to do, The Horizon Hotel would be our choice.

Just got back 18th feb 2015 stayed 2 weeks' arrived 4am taken to a room at the back of the hotel' it was clean and tidy' but dark all day
not like the brochure say's.
Breakfast was on the plain side eggs and more eggs!! a few mornings there were sausages if that's what you can call them '' local stray dogs out side loved em'' . Hotel restaurant had a good night menu and it was nice food and the prices were very reasonable. There is a generator in the hotel next door and it started up some mornings at 4am and ran for an hour it sounded like 2 giant lorries revving there engine's to excess and giving of diesel type fumes our towels drying on the balcony smelled of fumes ' The hotel washed them. The staff are very good and helpful. location is ok and use of taxi's is cheep. Didn't stay round the hotel in the day time ''no sun round the pool'' On the last day we ask to keep our room on 'yes but its £20.00' just for a few hours' its only £20.00 per night b&b at this hotel !! It's not quite right when u arrive at 4am you should be able to keep your room till 4am!!. All in all we had a great holiday and will return to Goa but not this hotel. ps on the Baga road drainage work is in process and its chaos avoid it at night.
