We stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting Leipzig in early September. We booked our room through an internet wholesaler. Our booking included breakfast. We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 a.m. and our room was waiting for us. Strange though – the elevator stops at the 6th floor and our room was on the 7th. We had to carry our luggage up the final flight of stairs to reach our room. At booking we had asked for a quiet room away from the train station. We received an email from the hotel saying that would entail an extra cost. We declined hoping for the best. While our room was on the station side it was very quiet with very little outside or inside noise. The room itself was small but comfortable. The bathroom was also comfortable with all in working order. The room was very clean and well lit. It could have used a luggage stand though. Breakfast was a buffet that included hot and cold food. It was quite good and tasty although the hot food could have been hotter. The choice was excellent. The location of the hotel is excellent – right across from the main train station and all of the sights are within walking distance.
Although an older property, we would recommend this hotel. Free WiFi in the room, in-room safe, coffee and tea making facilities, and great location make this a fine hotel to use when visiting Leipzig. It was good value for the price. And Leipzig is well worth a visit!

The room we found to be much too warm in winter months with no way for the guest to control the heating. Air Con is not operational during the cold months so the window has to be left open. That's when the advantage of being near to public transport becomes a disadvantage due to tram noise which you get used to. Unfortunately, they seem to work all hours of the night to get the S Bahn extension ready with various generators, pumps etc running. The bed was not up to our standard as it was akin to sleeping on a jelly, one movement woke the wife and vice versa. There was a kettle in the room to make hot drinks, ours didn't work so it was removed. The only problem was that a new one didn't appear! On the positive, location, breakfast and staff.

The location of this hotel was just great; it was opposite the main railway station of Leipzig. The city center was also reachable by both, walking or with car. The breakfast was nice, but the rooms were terribly small. There were a parking place in the backyard.

Although in a very good location next to the train station (if you consider that a good location!), the rooms are very small. Clean and well organized, but not an inch to spare. The breakfast was very good, however, and the desk staff pleasant. An easy walk into the town.

Though we asked for non-smoking, the rooms share a common venting system and our room smelled like smoke the entire time. When we complained, we got no response. This hotel is located across the street from the train station and mall which made it very easy for travel and access to good food. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was the size of an airplane bath...you could barely turn around in it without touching the door, the sink, the toilet. The fan did not work and again because of a common venting system you could smell the bathroom odors from other rooms. Really unpleasant. The room is so small that you cannot open your suitcases unless you put them out next to the entry door....that poses some problems.
