We stayed here three nights recently as guests at a wedding function.
The resort is located a block away from the beach at Pallavakkam on the ECR, about 30-40min drive from the Chennai Airport.
The hotel is laid out in a sprawling property with lush green lawns, a decent sized swimming pool with water slide, small restaurant and separate bar. Our room was in a heritage style wooden Kerala cottage overlooking a small garden with a resident flock of babbling babblers, squirrels and some rather friendly cats! Sitting in the verandah, it was hard to believe that this was not a peaceful rural setting. The city of Chennai seemed light years away.
Back to reality:
The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, if dimly lit. Regular style rooms are well lit though lack the ambiance of the wooden cottages.
The menu was mostly Kerala cuisine, tasty and served in good portions. Best to eat at the restaurant where though slow, the service was certainly faster than in the room.
Room service was tardy and housekeeping was most lackadaisical. No one bothered to clear a dirty dish kept out on the balcony the previous evening; I saw the cats having a go, no wonder they were so friendly! The same dishes were uncleared even the next day. Housekeeping was not enthusiastic about daily cleaning of the room though they provided a new set of towels.
For the room rate, the least the hotel could do would be to provide a kettle in the room for tea and coffee. Room service took an hour to bring the morning coffee the first day. On the second day, they were better organised and came around early with the coffee.
This is a good venue to host functions such as weddings with adequate space and greenery. The weather in December is perfect for such events.
Children have plenty of place to run around and the water slide in the pool is a big attraction making it a good place for a family weekend place so near yet so far from the crowded city ..........
Overall efficiency of service could be improved but with a bit of attention, this hotel has a lot of potential.

Average rooms...very basic...Staff needs to be more courteous...and stop warning guests not to touch the A/C Remote !!!! hahaha....typical stuff...A/C is set...do not touch remote !!!...hahaha...pool is small but clean...nice event place...breakfast options limited...but room rate for events and corporate bookings was not bad. Overall a comfortable stay after our evening party. Not recommended for longer stays.

On first glance it will transport you to another world with its quaint wooden cottages and aesthetic interiors. Spend a couple of hours and the reality sinks in. There is absolutely no room service to speak of coz you cant contact them. The phones are just decorative pieces! The food served is stale, greasy and the place is just plain noisy thanks to the crows who feast on leftovers of the night before. The property is unkept, dirty, unsafe and dangerous all thanks to riff-raff and ruffians who have free access to the grounds because of no concrete boundary wall. Please avoid and if left with no choice sleep in your car or in the rallway station.
