The accomodation is basic and dated, but the hotel is under new management and they are determined to bring the place into the 21st century, at least in goa style.

They've started with the basics and assure us that it is a work in progress that will continue to improve. Our room was spotless when we arrived and was cleaned every day, when I remembered to leave the key behind. Clean towels every day and clean sheets every 2 or 3 days.
They introduced the out door dining area during our holiday which was lovely. Breakfast was dire as promised, but they are in India, the restaurant menu is extensive and good. The waiting staff couldn't cope with more than about 6 tables, hopefully they'll get better as the season progresses with practice...
The pool was lovely and clean, a great place for an early morning swim.
They also introduced live entertainment for most nights of the week, and providing they can actually get the volume right, it was OK. They tended to be very loud and therefore we were unable to think, never mind talking with my husband.
They also installed a very large genarator to eliminate the power cut issue, from what we saw it worked, but it was only working the last 2 days of our stay
.
The whole I think the hotel was value for money, go with an open mind and you will have a lovely holiday.

were the only guests, had two waiters each.
The Hotel is now under new management and they are pulling out all the stops to upgrade the hotel it does need a makeover.
The staff were excellent even the new ones .
As for Goa its not for everyone but it is for me,I loved it.The place the people the beaches, the food, even the hair raising taxi rides.
Eat at the Calamari on the beach, the sea shell, the flambee, and so many others all stunning food.I was worried because I don't eat spicy food but all tastes are catered for.
Go to the jungle ride the elephant, sleep in the tents with the frogs and open air loo and shower.experience it all.
Back 5 days and so wish i was going back........if your reading this because you are going LUCKY YOU>

If we had to give advice it would be not to stay here in Don Hill Beach Resort.
Room was basic with no air conditioning (and in April when

we stayed here that is not a good thing!!). Room was not cleaned or towels changed for 3 days of our stay. We would not normally complain about the towels, but the weather was so hot and sticky, they would not even dry over night.
Pool area was small and not particularly nice (even thought the water was cooler than the sea)!!!
Breakfast was included, but was tea and toast only.
The building, particularly at the back, was in dire need of decoration.
Overall, not a great stay, and not recommended.
