Having read TA reviews I expected a small motel and was pleasantly surprised to find a large motel with plenty of space around the outdoor pool. The indoor pool looked inviting as well inside a glass atrium. Our room was large with two double beds. "Dated"? Sure but cleanliness is so much more important. Near restaurants and a short drive to the beach I would definately return and would recommend this place to others. Friendly, helpful staff and a quiet location are other "pluses" to add to the ambience of this place in addition to "directors' chairs" outside of rooms for a chance to enjoy the great Cape air.

The rooms are very outdated, probably from 1970 or so, however they are clean and the staff is accomodating. I think it is ridiculous that they charge an additional $15 per person over 2 people in a room, most hotels allow 4 people in a room with two double beds with no extra charge. The pool is nice and clean, lawn chairs are plastic from the 70's. It is convenient and close to shops and restaurants. I would stay again.

The Colonial Village Motel & Cottages is a convenient place to stay, close to good restaurants, the beach, and typical, homey Cape Cod towns. We have stayed here at least 4 times and always enjoy our stay. There is never any traffic on the road out front to speak of. Also, even though someone isn't at the front desk 24/7, the managers are very accommodating for late arrivals, as we typically have been. It's also a step back in time to probably the 60s or 70s and the grounds are always beautiful. It's just a sweet, vintage roadside, Cape Cod inn. If you're looking for "modern", this is definitely not the place, but it is clean and cozy.
