If you are an ICICI Bank credit card holder, please take a few minutes out to register your card for 3D-Secure. Without registering you will not be able to transact online after 1st August. What’s more If you do not have an Internet banking User ID & password (which is required to register for 3D-Secure) the registration may take 7-10 days. Therefore, it is advisable that you place a password generation request right now.

Now, every time you book on Cleartrip, after entering your card details on the payment step, you will be redirected to your bank’s website. You will need to enter your 3D-Secure password there after which you will be redirected back to Cleartrip for completing the booking process. That’s it!

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Call up ICICI Bank customer care. Find the call center number in your city Speak to the operator (read the last section on this page to find out how to reach the operator)
2. Give the operator your ICICI Bank credit card number and ask him/her for the Internet banking user ID over the phone itself
3. Place a request for generating your Internet banking password. The password will be sent via courier to your registered mailing address – this may take 7-10 working days.

After you receive your Internet banking user ID & password please visit ICICI Bank’s 3D-Secure registration page to register for 3D-Secure.

Now, every time you book on Cleartrip, after entering your card details on the payment step, you will be redirected to your bank’s website. You will need to enter your 3D-Secure password there after which you will be redirected back to Cleartrip for completing the booking process. That’s it!

Why do I need to register for 3D-Secure?

This is because of an RBI regulation to make online transactions safer. You can read more about this regulation at http://www.cleartrip.com/secure/ Just remember that you will need to register for 3D-Secure if you want to transact with any online Indian merchant, not just Cleartrip.

How to reach the ICICI Bank phone banking operator

Here’s how to reach the operator:

1. Select language (1=English, 2=Hindi)
2. Press 2 to select credit cards
3. Enter your 16 digit credit card number
4. Enter you telephone identification number (TIN) if you have one. Else wait for the IVR to ask for the TIN twice. Enter your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format (for example, 01031982 for 01 March, 1982)
5. Listen to your payment details, outstanding balance details, etc.
6. Press 9 to speak to the operator
