Display of fare basis / buckets for dom / intl tix

Hi Hrush

Can you please display the fare basis / bucket (V, H, Q, Y etc for economy, D, J, Z, C for business etc)? That lets us calculate whether or not a particular fare you are quoting us will earn full miles (or sometimes partial / no miles at all).

And please have some way for travelers to enter their FQTV # in the booking. Makes it far easier for pax to prebook “special” seats like exit rows in economy.

Otherwise, cleartrip sure looks great now, its been an age since I last logged in on it, I dont travel domestic much.

thanks
suresh

nb. Speaking of exit rows, another thing you could do if you have direct GDS access would be to display a seatmap where seat selection can be done online.

Also – along with the cleartrip generated trip ID (which isnt visible on an airline’s system) could you also display the airline’s PNR, or the GDS PNR (sabre, galileo, amadeus, whatever you use). That lets us track things by calling the airline directly.

Might not be a factor when you’re in India but when you’re traveling and book an intl ticket using cleartrip, its useful to have that, to call the airline directly.

Hi Suresh—good to hear from you, it’s been a while.

We’ll see what we can do about the fare basis code. With respect to the airline PNR, Cleartrip always makes this available to you—it’s a part of your e-ticket and it’s always available as soon as you sign in to your Cleartrip Account.

We did take a look at seat maps, but the support for this across airlines is inconsistent at this time, we’ll review it again after a while.

Hi Hrush, yes its been a while .. thanks for the reply. I havent booked many domestic tix in the past few months so yup you might display the airline pnr as well and its just my recollection that’s at fault.

Appreciate anything you can do on letting passengers enter their freq flyer program number, and displaying fare basis.

Hi Suresh—happy to let you know that you can now enter your frequent flyer number online while booking international flights. Not only can you enter it for yourself, but for any other passengers travelling with you as well.
