Mumbai - August 8, 2006 - Cleartrip has appointed PKX Thomas as Chief Technology Officer. He has assumed this responsibility with effect from July 24, 2006. Thomas is responsible for the web service delivery and software development life cycle in addition to his contribution towards selecting the right technology tools for all groups within the business.
Thomas’ role in Cleartrip is pivotal, as it relies on technology to break up the process of making online travel bookings into easy steps. This is in keeping with their central communication tagline ‘Making Travel Simple.’
Speaking about the website’s focus on technology, Sandeep Murthy, CEO, Cleartrip said, “Cleartrip views technology as a key business enabler and intends to be a technology leader. Thomas comes to Cleartrip.com with comprehensive experience in the field, spanning 16 years, with a Specialization in Infrastructure Management and Knowledge Management. Prior to joining Cleartrip, he spent 3 years as Technology Head in Lionbridge Technologies Private Limited, Mumbai where he was involved in directing a newly developed Global Infrastructure service line and a division of the ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) Group. Prior to that he was working with Investment Research and Information Services Limited, Mumbai as a Chief Technology Officer.
