The Luxembourg City History Museum is a multilevel, state-of-the-art complex and well worth exploring. The lower floors trace the city's history via a series of wooden maquettes while the upper levels occupy splendid public rooms of a former mansion and are decked out with paintings and decorative arts. The view from the glass elevator beautifully reveals the town's rocky geology.
