Must See Wallis And Futuna Islands - Pierre Chanel Church

This green-trimmed, three-tiered church has enough pews to seat a couple of thousand worshippers. It's devoted to a Catholic Marist missionary who arrived on Futuna in 1837, was killed there four years later, and was declared patron saint of Oceania in 1954. The chapel includes some of Saint Pierre Chanel's clothes and the war club said to have killed him.
