This archipelago is a real gem, a group of wild, remote islands with delicate and rare environments (rainforest, reef and mangroves), renowned for their many rare bird and plant species. The area has been declared a Unesco International Biosphere Reserve, but remains rarely visited.
Several islands are uninhabited, while others are home to small fishing communities - the islands we describe here make up just the tip of a rather large, hot and humid iceberg.
