Chennai Travel Direction

Called the 'Gateway to South India', Chennai is well-connected by all means of transport. The Chennai International Airport is connected by 14 international and 5 Indian carriers to all major cities in India and in South and South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. There are two main railway terminals, the Chennai Central station with trains heading to all the major cities and towns in India and Chennai Egmore, with trains for destinations within Tamil Nadu. By road, five major highways connect Chennai to Kolkata, Bangalore, Tiruvallur, Trichy and Pondicherry. The Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) along with seven government owned transport corporations operates inter city and inter state bus services.
